Terry's Story

Life This has been a great year for my husband and I. I vacationed in Cancun with my 3 sisters and their husbands and my dad and had a great time. Two weeks later I traveled to Istanbul, Turkey for another two weeks. While there I had the pleasure of working with missionaries on the Pisidian Project. And in September my husband and I traveled to Tanzania, Africa. We had an amazing time with friends that are missionaries there as well. We stayed for two weeks. God willing we will be moving to Africa in a year. We want to live in the laguru mountains and work with the laguru people which are an unreached people group. Many people there have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and about what an amazing God we serve. So if the Lord wills we will be in Africa in a year or sooner. My prayer for all who read this is if you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior that you will seek his face in prayer now. There isn't a better life to be lived. In Christ Alone, Teresa (Terry)Patino Rudolph Well, that was 4 years or so ago and now we are in our last 3 months here in Africa. We have been here for almost 3 years. It has been a wild ride to say the least. This has been the hardest thing I have ever done. We have had lots of experiences here, good and bad. But the good have outweighed the bad. We have been robbed several times, everything that was of any value has been stolen from us, we have been escorted to the police dept. we have had several wrecks, ther...Expand for more
e are bigger bugs here than anywhere in the world and more dirt than I have ever seen. I have never sweat this much in all my life. I have never taken so many baths. I know what it is like to live like an African and I have done extreem camping in the bush. I now can sympathize with anyone. But by the grace of God we made it. I am looking forward to going home and just chillin. I am looking forward to having electricity all the time, running water. I look for the time when I don't have to have a guard in my yard every evening. Well, its just a long story. July 1, 2009 January 26, 2010 Were home for several months now. Actually my husband came home a month before me. (long story) and I stayed and wrapped up. Very good to be home with my family. I really expected to pick up where we left off but that has not been the case. I am sure our life will never be the same. And I must say I am glad. I'v heard for the last several years how bad the economy was but, I did not realize until we came home. My husband is working in Wyoming and I am here in Texas. That is not what I invisioned. I know God has a plan for us just not sure what it is just now. It does look like we will be moving to Kentucky sometime before the year is up. We are looking at church planting there. At least we're in the United States this time. Just a short flight from home. We did tell God we would go where ever He sends us, and we will. So thats what is going on with us now. Cheers.
