Terry's Story
I am preparing to participate in my second Relay For Life event for the fight against cancer. I have set my goal high again this year at $5000. With your help I should be able to achieve this goal. I have included a link below where you can donate. We would appreciate anything you could send our way and please forward to anyone you think might be able to help. Thanks, Terry
In January four years ago I didn¿t think I would be alive today. In April of 2005 I would be going into the hospital to receive a stem cell transplant to get my Multiple Myeloma in remission. All information that I had read was that the life expectancy post transplant was around three years. This May will mark four years that my cancer will be in remission. I feel like I am living in ¿Bonus Time¿. There is still no cure for Multiple Myeloma and there is good chance it will be what takes my life. I feel that we are just around the corner from curing many types of canc...Expand for more
er including Multiple Myeloma. I would like to be here when they find a cure for this terrible cancer and I need your help. I am taking a drug today that was not available just four short years ago.
This will be the second year that I have participated in the American Cancer Society¿s ¿Relay For Life¿. Last year we raised over $100,000 at the Northwest Tarrant Relay. This money is not only used in the research to find a cure for cancer, but it is also used to help and comfort the cancer survivor deal with the many emotional issues that come with fighting a deadly disease. I am asking that you donate what you can in the fight against cancer. The amount is not important! I know that money is a little tight this year, so just send what you can. I have included a link at the bottom of this page that will take you to my page at the American Cancer Society where you can make a donation.
It¿s all about hope,
