Terry's Story
Life
High School seems like a lifetime ago. I remember sitting in class wishing the years away looking forward to graduation. Life has been very busy. I am a much different person now than that short, skinny guy in high school. When we used to line up from the shortest to the tallest, I was usually the 2nd or 3rd in line - at least during my freshman year. I was only 4'8" and weighed only 110 pounds when starting high school. Who would have known?
After high school, I attended Campbellsville College for 1 year and then transferred to the University of Kentucky. I finished a Bachelor of Health Science degree and a Master in Public Administration degree at UK. Following, I finished a PhD degree at the University of Louisville. Whoever thought I would finish a PhD!

ssional career in the area of public health. I worked in the Kentucky Department for Public Health for a few years and the Louisville-Jefferson County Department of Health for a few years. I spent a few years working in international health, traveling to more than 12 countries in Central and Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union. I also worked at the federal level of public health at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a Survey Research Scientist.
I now live in the Washington DC area. I am a Research Design Methodologist at the United States Government Accountability Office and University Professor at George Washington University.
My family still lives in Campbellsville and I get back there from time to time.
