Life
I live in Austin, TX with my wife, Penny and our six year old daughter, Ashley Jane. I have been in the sound and lighting industry since 1980 currently operating Sound and Lighting Specialists. (You can search the web for this website and access an email address.) I have been Systems, FOH or Monitor Engineer for over 700 National Acts. My system was at the Friends venue on 6th Street in Austin for SXSW 2008 Music Festival providing production for 42 different National and International acts to include The Clash. Thats right.. Rock the Casbah, baby... For all you Rappers in the know, I just finished shows for Paul Wall and Mike Jones "Who?". Also recently provided a system for country artist, Cory Morrow and blues artist Marcia Ball.
I have a Steinberg Nuendo based recording studio in my home to include 24 analog inputs and 16 digital recording inputs utilizing a vintage Soundtracs 24 channel full format console (from Surrey, England) and two Echo Layla digital audio interfaces. I am currently writing and arranging using Acid-Pro and Reason. My folks are still in Center and visit them periodically. I still play Tama's and Ludwig's, A and K Zildjians and Promark 2B's (just like we played in the Jr. High Band).
Hobbies to include mountain bikes, 4 on the floor-454's, LT1 Corvette's and 2 stroke Road Race bikes. Be sure to check out my photo albums in the Reunion section of Classmates.

School
My main thing in my High School school years was partying, playi...Expand for more
ng drums, riding two wheeled vehicles and keeping my hair long. From beginner band in the 6th grade through my Sophomore year of High School, I played in the percussion section of the school band. Tympani, traps and snare drum were my speciality. Band trips attended included Monterrey, Mexico and Pensacola, Florida. My personal drum kit in those days was a blue 5 piece Royce drumset and cheeze-ball cymbals.
College and other stuff:
Attended TJC in 78-79. Attended PJC earning an Associates Degree in Music in 83. Played drums and had sound tech duties in the Panola Pipers and attended one tour to New Orleans and points in between. Also played in the Stage Band for the "Paint Your Wagon" production.
Attended SFA from 83 through 84. Played Tri-Toms in Lumberjack Marching Band and Tympani in the Concert Band.
Played in the Muddy River Band and The Blitzz in this time period. My personal drum kit was a gold 6 piece, double kick Ludwig Classic set with Avedis and K. Zildjian cymbals plus Roto-Toms and electronic effects.
Played in the boogie-blues band TT Thunderbeard in the late 80's in San Antonio playing my red, 9 piece Tama Imperialstar kit. My double kicks for this set were custom made my Tim Saunders of San Antonio in unusual 18" and 20" sizes. I still own this kit and have nick named it, "the Demon" because it looks like hell...
In the early 90's I had a short stint as drummer for Creed Taylor and the Travelers where I played a scaled down version of the Thunderbeard Kit.
I have been attending shool again lately and am due to graduate ACC with an Associates Degree in Power Technology in August 2008 and Renewable Energy in December 2008.
