Terry's Story

Life I just read an article on msn.com about the benefits of wasting time. With that said, here I am. I don't want to bore anybody so will try to sum up my life in a paragraph or less. This shouldn't be much of a challenge. I wasn't a real popular guy in school, but those who did know me knew that my life did, has and continues to center around music. I was one of those kids who was transformed on February 9,1964. I shouldn't have to remind anybody from our generatiion what happened on that day. Anyway, in keeping with my goal of not boring anybody, just listen to Pink Floyd. Tunes such as Time, Us and Them, Comfortably Numb pretty much say it all. Better still, grab a glass of your favorite Cabernet and watch Pulse really loud. WE all probably can relate to the lyrics of Roger. Lastly, there is a tune that is probably my favorite written by Don Henley. It is called "Heart of the Matter". I prefer the acoustic version a la "Hell Freezes Over". What you may find is that what the head makes cloudy, the heart makes very clear. Another musical analog, relates to my more recent belief that is better to do or say something, than to live with the regret of not having followed ones heart by saying or doing so. The tune "The Living Years" perfectly illustrates this in the phrase "say it loud, say it clear, you can listen as well as you hear, it's too late, when we die, to admit we don't see eye to eye". I wish I had written it. If you have never heard the tune, I recommend googling it. At th...Expand for more
is age, I find the spectre of earthly mortality rearing it's ugly head on a far more regular basis. Bummer! God I wish I had the voice to be a singer. A rare treat today. One of the classics is on the tube. Does anyone remember a little ditty called " A Hard Day's Night"? It featured a couple of my all time favs, "If I Fell" and "And I Love Her". Truly this was a very special time. School In keeping with my musical theme, it seems appropriate to quote one of my favorite artists, Paul Simon. He said "When I think back on all the crap I learned in high school, it's a wonder I can think at all". The last thirty two years have proven this to be correct. It really hit home on a day we all refer to as 9-11. We are a blessed country. Let's hope we can through our actions keep it that way. Workplace I have had many jobs and done many things since leaving Dump Miablo. I only have an attention span of about five years so do the math. That will give you a rough idea of how many jobs I have had. I am currently a Real Estate Broker in beautiful southern Oregon. I live in a one cow town called Grants Pass. The good part is that the Rogue River runs right through the middle of town. As I type this, the tourist season is starting as fishermen and rafters come to do their things. If any M. D. people come to town, drop by the offices of Premier Realty and say hello. I have all ready bumped into a guy who is the nephew of someone I went through all 13 years of school with. It is a small world.
