Terry's Story
I only attended Academy of the Little Flower from 1961-1963. My mother moved us to Massachusetts for my junior year at Woburn High School, which is where I was when Kennedy was assassinated Then she moved us back to Oceanside in January 1965 and enrolled me in Oceanside High School where I graduated five months later. In that short time I didn't get to know anyone at OHS, which is why I still feel my alma mater is ALF.
Subsequently went to Mercy Hospital School of Nursing 1965-1967, attended Summer of Love in San Francisco 1968, got married, moved to L.A., had one son and put my future ex-husband through UCLA 1968-1972. Got my M.A. from Columbia 1982, worked in advertising in NYC 1982-1984. Went to my ex's 20th Oceanside High reunion 1984, ran into an old high school flame, moved back to North County San Diego to be with old flame (also to be near my elderly mother). Worked at La Costa Resort, Dimension Cable, Detour Salon 1988-2008.
Started my own business, TVK Designs Graphics & Websites, 2008 to present. Designed new logos for Vista Unified School District, Vista Chamber of Commerce, new websites for Moonlight Amphitheater Foundation, Flower Hill Promenade, and many other local businesses and professionals: see TVKdesigns.com
I wanted to have a full life, and at this point I feel like I've had five full lives :)
