Terry's Story
Life
Since I left the hallowed halls of Hawthorne High, I have traveled far and enjoyed a fantastic life.
My Work
I am a licensed progessional counselor working in a psychiatric hospital as well as a private practice. Since my retirement from the Air Force after 20 years, I have worked as a vocational counselor for the City of Shreveport, worked as a therapist then director of a narcotics treatment program.
Family
I married in 1974 to a gentleman from Mississippi whom I met while in technical training. He died in 1999.
I have three children - Trent, Trina, and Jay (who is married to Misty who is in the Air Force). I also have three grandchildren - Avery, Ean, and Lexie J.
Military
I spent 20 yrs in the Air Force as a Chapel Manager (that's a church businees administrator with a gun). I've traveled to (alphaetical order)Alaska, The Azores, Kansas, Louis...Expand for more
iana (where I now reside), Texas, Tokyo, and Washington D.C (now that's really a foreign country).
Education
Over a 24 year period (I admit it, I'm an educational dillatante) I earned a Batchelor Degree in General Studies with minors in public relations and psychology and A Master of Arts in Counseling and Vocational Guidance. Both degrees were bestowed by Louisiana Tech University.
My Hobbies
I love to travel usually within a day's drive. My grandsons who live here in Shreveport and I frequently go to art galleries, museums, rock and mineral shows, and other "cool stuff." My granddaughter lives in Colorado Springs (newly born 3 Jun 09) but I'm looking forward to also spending time with her. I psint, write, take scenic photos, garden, explore culinary arts, and of course read to relax and enjoy. I am and will always be a "readaholic." that hasn't changed.
