Terry's Story
Terrie, I am living in Arroyo Grande (one of the Five Cities near San Luis Obispo). I am a client advisor for BMW of Santa Maria and Community Volkswagen. I have been in Seattle, LA, Montecito and Boise in route to landing in AG. I have 3 children: Andrew 25, Patrick 21, and Hayley 17. Andrew is a waiter at Jocko's Steakhouse in Nipomo, Patrick is in the Air Force and Hayley is UCLA bound in the fall and wants to be a doctor. I lost my wife of 25 years tragically 3 years ago after a long bout with cancer and just got remarried to Cynthia Groia two weeks ago. She works at a Vet Clinic in AG and we are in the process of consolidating two households. She has a 22 year old daughter, Darlene, who also lives in AG. I have been a buyer for The Bon Marche (now Macy's) in Seattle, a VP for Pierre Cardin in LA, owner of an upscale stationery store in Montecito, The Stationery Collection, spent 15 years with Albertsons in Boise and the San Luis Obispo area (from whom I was able to retire) and now with BMW. My kids were a great source of stregnth for me as we all endured a long illness of my first wife.
I am sorry to hear about your current status, but keep the faith. There is a reason for everything. We don't, nor are we supposed to, understand. Be strong and be an inspiration to all you come in contact with. I am going to try to make it to the reunion in October and will, hopefully, see a lot of people that I have lost contact with over the past 40 years. I will look you up on FB.
