Terry's Story
Graduated high school and worked in the grocery store for a couple of years until almost getting drafted to the Army. I enlisted in the Air Force with the intentions of making a 20 year career of it. After airborne radio school, got married on the way to Mt. Home Idaho for my first assignment, then to Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota, had first daughter, Heather, there, then to Hickam AFB, Hawaii, had second daughter, Cheryl, in Honolulu, Hawaii, also accomplished another of my goals by getting ...Expand for more
a private pilots license, then went to Andrews AFB, Maryland, just outside of Washington D.C., after 15 yrs, 2 months and 24 days, gave up the air force and went to work for the WASHINGTON METROPOLITAN AREA TRANSIT AUTHORITY (WMATA). Worked first 3 years as a train mechanic on subway cars and then went into the radio shop and spent next 23 years and 2 months before retirement fixing radios and pagers. Retired in July 2003 and have not done much of anything since but relax and gain 40 pounds.
