Terry's Story

Life My life in a nutshell! or “How in the Hell did I end up Here?” Left Medford in August 66’, completed my freshman year at OSU. Needed to grow up a lot - completed 4 years in the service, that helped a lot. Left the service in 72’ in Panama City, Fl. Grew some hair and started a small business on the beach. Met my 1st wife there (if looks and boobs were brains she would have been Einstein, but, they aren’t and she wasn’t). Moved to Tallahassee, began working in the computer field. Went back to school and finished my degree at Florida State University in1980, gained custody of my 6 yr. old daughter 3 months later. Single father for 12 years, met my current wife 2 weeks after my daughter graduated HS and left for college. Daughter is now a nurse here in Tallahassee and has given us a grandson (7yrs old). My stepson just married in 2005 and lives in Cairo, GA (my wife’s home town) about 30 miles from Tallahassee. We see them all quite often. cted special projects for the Governor of FL for a few years. Left Tallahassee in 97’ for Denver (consultant for the U.S. Supreme Court) and just returned to Tallahassee in 03’ for a position as a Staff Director for the Florida Legislature in a position that sunsets at the end of June, looking forward to a little break. Plan on slowing down a little, consulting a little, and catching more Grouper, Kings, Spanish, Wahoo, and Snapper. The coast is only 35 miles away and my wife would rather fish than eat! You probably didn’t know much about me in HS, I didn’t know much about myself either. Went back to Medford in the fall of 2005 for a few days, first time since 74’ and my wife wanted to see where I spent my formative years. I’m wondering if reunions have gone out of style in Oregon. Last one I heard about was back in the late 70’s when “the reunion coordinator” sent a list of classmates she was trying to contact, and I was on the list (and she sent it to me at the correct address here in Tallahassee) Ha!
