Terry's Story
Life
Moved to Houston, Texas after 1964 graduation. Worked at FW Woolworth in stockroom ('64,'65), then joined Texas Instruments ('66) as printed circuit board assembler and later as drafting technician. Attended University of Houston on a work/study program (sponsored by TI). Graduated UH 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and became a Systems Programmer. Software Engineer until 1991. Worked at Texas Department of Transportation as Systems Programmer ('93-'07). Employed at IBM Global Services as Systems Programmer working on State of Texas consolidation of agency computer data centers ('07-'08). Currently retired as a first year Baby Boomer (birth years 1946 - 1964). Bought my "starter home" in 1985, but never finished starting (still living in the same home)!!
