Terry's Story

Hello Classmates, I have been down a long hard road throughout the years. I have learned from a lot of my mistakes. I have been blessed with three children. They are my life. I lost my daughter when she was 23 to a bad motorcycle crash. I am doing well though. It is rough on birthdays and holidays but I have two wonderful sons and my friends to help me get through these times. I have worked lots of different jobs due to my health. I was a waitress at Friendly Fosters in Ripley, Oh. I worked at Mac Tools for 9 yrs. I worked as a nurse assistant at the Villa in G-town. I then went to Kurtz Kashe in Wilmington. Lots of jobs huh, lol. I had to cause of them stupid cigarettes that took over my life. I think I just went downhill when I lost my daughter. I was on oxygen full time, had high blood pressure, diabetes 2. I have COPD and emphezema. I spent more time in hospitals than at work. Boy did that ever suck. I gained so much weight that I could not work anymore. Have been on disability for 8 yrs. now. My health is now 90 % better. I have lost 93 pounds as of last week. I no longer have to be on oxygen, diabetes is gone. blood pressure is down pretty much to normal. I am now walking every day and doing lots of exercise. I can not believe the difference. I can make it up and down hill...Expand for more
s now without being out of breath, climb stairs without help, & It has changed my life in so many ways. I still have a long way to go but I know with Gods' help I can do this. Loving getting up every day and going fishing, swimming, walking, spending time with my 9 grandchildren and my sons. My life is wonderful and I plan on keeping it this way. (Knock on wood) but I have not been in the hospital for a couple of yrs. now. I have been looking for a job. That is my next goal. I am going to go back to work and get off of this disability cause I know that I can now do this. I have been blessed with my life and given a second chance to live and be there for everyone that helped me get though the rough times. Well, enough about me, would love to hear from my classmates and see how life has been treating you. Have a wonderful day and ty for taking the time to read this. It is now a yr. and a half since I have written anything here. I have now lost 170 lbs. and am feeling better than I have in yrs. I have been working at Pacific Manufacturing for over a yr. and a half now. Staying out of hospital now. Loving life and living it best I know how to. Now have 10 grandchildren. They are my life along with my sons. Love my family and friends. Life is only what you make of it. Mine is wonderful.
