Theresa's Story
Life
My life has always been a roller coaster until now. In 2003 I married the man I had always been looking for but 2 months later I was deployed for Afghanistan. He stayed behind and took care of both my kids, my home, my pets and started a new buisiness. I don't know too many men that could have taken on that challenge and succeed as well as he did. While I was gone I had plenty of time to reflect on what was important to me and what I wanted to accomplish with my life. I returned home in 2004 and went back to college to fulfill my dream of teaching and started my new life with Michael and the kids. In Aug 2005 I finally finished college and started teaching. I am finally doing what I have always wanted to. It is the hardest job I have ever had in my life, but the most rewarding. I have everything I could ever want in life and so much more. it feels like yesterday. My rollercoaster has finally stopped and it was one hell of a ride! My motto: It is ALL possible!
Well, it is almost the end of 2006 and life has thrown me a few more twists and turns. I started the school year off teaching 9th and 11th grade English, but the military had to have me so now I am back in the Green. I have been activated for a year and I am working as an Army Broadcaster, photographer, reporter and Legal specialist. They are keeping me busy. So far I have been to Georgia, California, and DC. The next stops include Illinois, Alabama, New Jersey, Georgia (again) and possibly overseas. Michael and the kids are doing great. My son is 6'4", 16 and driving (both a car and me crazy).....he is doing great in school and looking forward to college. My daughter is doing great....full of enegy and trying to act 21 (she is only 11). Life is still great, just too busy.
