Thelma's Story

Life Hello friends. I'm Thelma Jones, but you knew me as Thelma Phillips. I married Lawrence Jones who graduated in 72. I spent 20 years in the Air Force as a military wife, living in Hawaii, Oklahoma and Alaska where I currently reside. My Husband retired and we have been living in Anchorage for 24 years. I have three children. My oldest daughter teaches high school in the city. My youngest daughter is a freshman at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks and my son will be going into High school next year. He is a Minister of Music at the church we attend. I'm a financial advisor at a credit union in town. My husband works for the FAA. We love living in Alaska. We've been married for 35 years. I have been saved by Christ and that is the most important thing that has happened to me since I graduated. Praise The Lord! Story Wizard Questions. I always wanted to be a Model when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a Bad idea. As it turns out, they were Wrong. When I am up set I start to ready my Bible. I read the book of Psalms and the spirit of God calm me down. The question on life biggest surprise for me is that I meet my God and to know that he love me so much that he died for me. No great love than that. The next question ask me to be truly happy where would I be. For me I am truly happy right where I am in Christ. They ask a question if you get one do-over, what do you do differently.? For me I would become save as soon as I could understand about God. Think how great life would have been the knowledge and...Expand for more
wisdom I would have had. Seeking God guidance before I just do something stupid . What I know now is everything we do in life have consequence. My hero is God. All my inspiration comes from my personal relationship with God. I have live in Oklahoma , Hawaii and Alaska, We move because my husband was military , but I have been to so many other states. It think I have seem almost all the states, it have been a wonderful journey. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel The bedroom and add on a larger closest. My dream home would be a room just for clothes. I also would like a library room, where I could put all my christian books. I love reading christian book, they help me out a lot on this journey of life. If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to God, then spend the rest on Investments, family and put the rest in CD and money markets accounts My current age is 56. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be Old. I was so completely wrong. My best friend would tell you I'm funny, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as shy. In 10 years, I hope to be more closer to God. I'm going to get there by staying very close to him. My oldest friend is from high school, we grew up in the same neighborhood, our families were close to. We went thru grade school all the way thru high school. We know each other well. We still keep in touch, even those we are miles away. What would surprise everyone from high school about me would be that I am a nice person with a heart full of love for them.
