Theresa's Story
Life
I moved to South Carolina in 1982 where I lived for seventeen years. While there,I worked for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources in the Endangered Species program. Eventually, I decided to work with different exotic animals and moved into the zoo field where I fell in love with elephants. Orlando Florida area working for Disney's Animal Kingdom where I help manage and train the ten African Elephants housed there. I do a lot of public speaking concerning the fate of elephants, and consider myself very lucky that Disney gives me the opportunity to get my conservation message across to such a large and diverse number of people. I am an animal rights activist, and have been involved in animal rights issues for years.
