Theresa's Story
My life has not been typical - I didn't just go to school - get married - have kids - etc. etc. and I didn't do things at the "normal" time of life people do things either. I'm trying to sort it all out myself. The timeline really helps.
I went to many schools and worked in many different fields. I got married late in life and don't have any children.
I have changed a lot and experienced a lot in my life.
Until I moved out on my own I was held back from really doing what I wanted. Things changed drastically when I did move out. I wanted to and I did try a lot of knew things. I did some stupid things but I also had fun for a change and I met a lot of people who have influenced me in a good way. Even the bad experiences teach us something. Luckily I have always been able to eventually do things and get things that I wanted or needed. Knowing what to choose - what you want or what you need - is a big choice with huge consequences.
Anyway, I can keep chattering on and on...(I can't believe how introverted I used to be as a child)

ied drawing and painting, sewing, crocheting, photography, stained glass, and am now into making jewelry. There are so many interesting things to learn.
I've had an interest in Ancient Civilizations since childhood. My university studies started out as a double major - Fine Art History and Classical civilization - with a minor in Archaeology.
Life without travel would be
unthinkable. You can't imagine how much more there is to a place than what we have read about or what the stereotypes are. Take food, for example. I only knew about a couple of Japanese dishes - sushi, teriyaki - before I arrived in Japan. Even these taste better here because they are made from local products...but now I know about yakitori, oden stew, okonomiyaki, adzuki beans, tongatsu (my favorite)....
Dance - I wish I had a natural talent for it because I really feel something wonderful when I dance - It is a passion just like my artwork. It is something that makes me feel alive.
My life now is still filled with hopes and dreams. That's a good thing, though. There was a time in my life when I didn't have them. Without hopes and dreams life would be empty.
