It was hard going to 3 different high schools but looking at the profiles of former classmates on this site sure takes me back and helps me remember some of the good times!! Right after high school I began working in an entry position with the state regulatory agency that oversees the Arizona dairy industry. Moving up the ladder and switching sides to the industry being regulated, I continued to work until November of 2000 when I found myself with the desire to lessen the stress in my life and with the ability to retire. I jumped at the opportunity and haven't looked back. Initially, my Type A personality prevailed and I found it difficult to slow down. At first, I occupied my time doing volunteer work in the Phoenix area for an organization which supports the families of law enforcement officers and firefighters who are killed or injured in the line of duty. Although quite rewarding, I found that I was allowing myself to become consumed by the challenge and was turning my efforts into a fulltime volunteer position.
