Thomas's Story

I was living on Hamilton Air Force Base from 1952 until 1956. I attended SRHS for the 55-56 school year. My dad retired in 1956 and we moved to Jupiter, Florida. I attended two more high schools and graduated in 1959. After two not very successful years at Georgia Tech I entered the Army and ended up in Wildflecken, Germany for two years. Returned to Florida and attended University of Miami for a semester and transferred to Florida State University. I met my wife Carol there in 1965 and we were married on New Years Eve. I graduated in 1966 with a degree in International Affairs and went to work for Southern Bell Telephone Company. I spent 1 year working for Pacific Telephone and returned to Florida in August, 1969. I retired from BellSouth in 1994. In 1983 I gra...Expand for more
duated from law school and worked as a Director of Benefits for BellSouth until my retirement. I have three grown children and as of July, 2013, will have 6 grandchildren. Carol and I have now been married 47 years and are still active in our city of Avondale Estates, Georgia. I often wonder what my life would have been like if my dad had retired in California, I had graduated from SHRS and gone to college there. Hoping to reconnect some time with some of those whom I knew in the 9th grade. Leave me a note if you visit here and remember any time we spent together. I will review my yearbook one night and try and put some names with faces. In the meantime Good Luck to you and thanks for visiting. MORE TO COME. CHECK BACK LATER Posted Friday, February 8, 2013.
