1969-73 US Navy Second Class Engineman 1973-till the fall 73 Worked in Alaska 74-75 Worked as mechanic in Springdale area 1975-78 Miami University Industrial Arts Degree Dec78-Spring80 Taught Industrial Arts in Chillicothe Ohio. 1980 Married my college sweetheart Elizabeth Burton from Hamilton Ohio. Three days later left for Alaska with everything we owned in our truck and car. Fall 1980 We got teaching jobs at Kenai Central High School in Kenai Alaska. Closest stop light then was 150 long miles away in Anchorage Alaska. Build our own home overlooking the Kasilof River and raised two children. Kids helped put themselves through college by working in the fishing industry. Son is a science teacher like his mother, and daughter is archaeologist. My son lives in Denver with his wife.
