Thomas's Story

I hope that people remember me as the person who listened to their challenges while growing up and giving them hope in their current situation. I always wanted to be a person who had a vision for the future, had the ability to dream and had the skills to make them become a reality when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was an unrealistic idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. My favorite way to relax is to catch a dream. To think about things outside of my current reach. The wildest thing I did in High School was drank a 5th of vodka at a home football game in the woods behind the stadium. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have people who have a desire to succeed, a vision, and a plan to be able to deal with the day-to-day. My inspiration in life comes from reading books written by successful people and listening to their words of wisdom. I have lived in England for 2 1/2 years while in the Air Force, Cheyenne Wyoming, Seattle Washington and then finally settled in Phoenix Arizona. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Connie Golding, because She was one of my best friends. I am an avid golfer and I enjoy most sporting activities. I love animals (especially dogs). I thoroughly love to be around trees, mountains and water (not much of that here in Phoenix, however, I can drive to there within an hour). I never thought I would have been a divorcee. I thought I would be one of those people who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a center block with a seating area around it. My dream home would be a place to hold weekly gatherings of friends. I have learned from my kids the true meaning of unconditional love and that it is a strength rather than a weakness to take ownership of your mistakes and ask for forgiveness. I can't remember my physics teacher's name, however, he made me think. I remember listening to a tape in class where he put forth the idea that light bulbs were absorbing light and that the government was hiding it from us. If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to God, then spend the rest on building a business to inspire people¿s dreams, purchase real estate to generate passive income and see the world. To be truly happy, I would have my consulting business fully operational and inspiring people all over America to reach for their dreams and helping people change their lives. ds the finish line. I was so completely wrong. Once you reach my age you reach a fork in the road of giving up and coasting or using your wisdom and going for it. I choose the latter... I am currently gathering all of my life experiences and creating a business that shares those experiences with others so that they can gain from it. I believe that helping others is more important than money itself. I am not sure what happened to my first crush. However, I hope that she is living life to the fullest and that some day we will be able to meet again and share our life experiences. My best friend would tell you I'm an enormous giver, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as mysterious. Style is not at the top of my list. I am very conservative and professional. Wild or flashy would not be one of my attributes. The weirdest job that I have ever had was running the Air Force Base's gas station in Cheyenne Wyoming. The greatest trophy that I have is a legacy of winning the family golf tournament. I have this ability to put down my golf clubs for months and still play a round of golf under 80. If I had one do over, it would be to start my passion for personal development at an earlier age and go through my education years with a greater desire to learn. In 10 years, I hope to be able to give most of my income away. I'm going to get there by developing my business and helping others to be successful. I met my oldest friend Robert while working at a grocery store as a greeter. I would read books late at night about personal development and real estate. We would talk about what I was learning and he would share his life experiences with me. We talk to each other at least 8 times a week and encourage each other in each of our endeavors. The only thing that I can think of that would surprise everyone at our high school reunion is that I showed up and had a drink in my hand. I never used to be a the type to show up at a party, let alone drink... My first job was at Cal's Market, where I got paid a miserable wage to fill up burlap bags with corn on a farm. What I remember most about it is eating raw corn on the cob right in the field. An early childhood memory for me was grabbing my cowboy hat and sneaking down to the local sandbox at student housing for U of M (where my dad was going to school) to get an early start on the day and play with the other kids. The problem was that the cowboy hat was all I had on. Granted, I was 3 and I guess you could say ambitious.
