Life
After HS family moved back to Austin, TX. BA from Howard Payne, Brownwood, TX in 75. Married Janice McCown of Austin in 72 (still married). We spent 2 years on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. Graduated from Dallas Seminary (ThM) in 81. Pastor of Grace Bible Church in Del City, OK & had the 1st of 3 boysÃÂ Daniel. Timothy, 2 years later. Moved to Austin & became pastor of Oak Hill Bible Church in `85. David born then. In 88 wrote my 1st book & now have about 30 books in print. In 94 became Exec. Dir. of the Pre-Trib Research Center (think tank related to Christian Bible prophecy) & went to work for well-known Christian author Tim LaHaye in Washington, D.C....Expand for more
Moved to Fredericksburg, VA in 94 & was there 5 years. Moved to Arlington, TX in `99. Moved to Lynchburg, VA (June 05) where a prof. at Liberty Univ. PhD in `95 from Tyndale Seminary in Ft Worth. Still Dir. of PTRC. Continue to write books & articles, speak at churches & conferences across US & abroad. New book (Mar 04) is "The Truth Behind Left Behind." Was a Bible and Theology prof. for 7 years at Liberty Univ. in Lynchburg, VA. In Nov. 2011 moved to Omaha, NE as a pastor at Community Bible Church. My wife Janice and I will celebrate our 40th wedding ann. in Dec. 2012. All three boys married and have children except David who is still at grad. school in Calif.
