Thomas's Story

Life I would have to say the 26 months I spent in Vietnam was the greatest "life changing" experience. As most of that time was spent in gunship helicopters I learned much about the 2 sides of life & death.I finished high school and got in 2 years of college while spending my 18th,19th,and 20th birthdays in that country. Now I enjoy Harleys, kids, and life far more than I ever would have had it not been for the "Vietnam Experience"!Nobody that spends that much time in almost daily combat comes out unscathed. I also learned that if one spends one's time just "sightseeing" in another country, they come away with NOTHING! Learning and living with the people of that country will teach you far more than snapping pictures ever could!I received far too many decorations for, what I considered, just doing my job! ivorce #3! Guess I either make "bad choices" as Peggy told me last year in 2005 or I am just simply too hard to get along with? Since Peg has known me for over 45 years, I'd have to go with her assesment! Am also now moving to Indiana to build my "dream" log home! Unfortanately, I was known in high school as a "Greaser" and not at "Dooper"! It's oh so darn funny now but I sure would like to get a hold of many more of you folks who knew me? C'mon, I know you're out there? School Mrs. Haskins was my best teacher as in history class she would keep things interesting. My English teacher, a Ms. Nissan along with Ms Pavlotos were the sexiest of all! They'd both strut around the room and drive the boys crazy! Ms. Pavlotos was my algebra teacher. One day I remember Ms. Nissan writing in huge colored chalk the letters S E X on the chalkboard and asking the class, "what's the first thing you all noticed when you entered this classroom"? She already, obviously, knew the answer!
