Thomas's Story
Life
Since graduation, I was in the US Navy for four years (1981-1985) as an Aviation Electrician. I got married in 1983 to Susan, who was also in the Navy. We lived in Kingsville, Texas during our Navy years.
In 1985 we moved to Pennsylvania where I worked in an electronics factory (great job!). Then we moved back to Minnesota in 1987 and I went back to school to get my degree in Consumer Electronics. We once again moved to Pennsylvania from 1993-1996 but decided we wanted to move back to Minnesota. I went back to college once again and this time I was finally able to make something good with my career path.
I love camping and fishing in Northern Minnesota and vacationing by the ocean. I love Smooth Jazz, Classic Rock, and Country music. I like to relax whenever I can find the time. near the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
I have a daughter who will is 30 and a son who is 28.
College:
I graduated from Capella University on September 30, 2005 with a BS degree. I majored in Information Technology with a specialization in Networking.
I graduated from Rasmussen College in March 2004 with an AAS degree in Information Systems Management: Local Area Networking (LAN) and Wide Area Networking (WAN).
I also have a Consumer Electronics degree from St. Cloud Technical College.
Workplace
I am currently retired. I worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs - Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) as a IT Specialist. It is really great working for the Federal government but it sometimes reminds me of being in the military with their rules, regulations, and the way things get done.
I have come a long way from my high school days when I worked as a fry cook at the Persian Supper Club.
