Thomas's Story

Life Well, lets see. I have been married and divorced. I was married for about 5 1/2 years. We got married for the wrong reasons, mainly because she was pregnant. The divorce was the best thing that could have happened, though. Me and my ex are good friends now. My son, Ashton, is getting ready to celebrate his 9th birthday on the fourth of July. He is so amazing, I sometimes have to remind myself that he is mine! I have been in and out of releationships for a while, but I think that I have found a woman that is just as messed up as I am, so I should be good (just kidding!!)....................Without rewriting my whole profile, I just wanted to add a sad note. It has been 2 years, but the woman that I was just referring to was called home in June 2006. She was young and leaves behind two wonderful kids, and one a still devastated heart in my chest. We were together for a year and a half, but I knew she was the one. Life is a trip, so don't take it for advantage. Anyways, this is the rest of the original.................. What else...oh yeah. I am a member of the Florida Army National Guard. I love the life the Army provides without having to be a full time Soldier. I graduated the police acedemy in January 2005, and have applied to several agencies in the central Florida area. It works a little dif...Expand for more
ferent down here, you have to go to an academy first, get certified, and then apply for either a Sheriff or police department. The hiring process is long, about 5-7 months. So I'm confident that someone out there wants me! My ultimate goal is to wind up with the Tampa Police Department. Tampa is awesome, the closest thing to NYC without being there. But TPD requires that I have 60 college credits, which is not a necessity at many agencies, so I have enrolled in an online college. I have still applied at some other local agencies, the local Sheriff's Office and some smaller police departments. I want to be able to apply to Tampa with some experience as well as the college. I have been doing odd jobs since high school. The biggest job and closest I came to a career was when I worked at Cingular Wireless. I worked in customer service, and it was the perfect job. I worked there for 2 1/2 years, but lost my job due to a mistake a made over an exgirlfriend (hence, the in and out of relationships). If I could, I probably would go back there if I could. Not to say that I don't look foward to a career in Law Enforcement, but it was a really great company to work for. That seems to be all I can think of right now, I would love to hear from you guys--it's been forever!! I hope everyone is doing good too. Later.
