Thomas's Story

After graduating from CHS, I got an Associate's Degree from Mt. SAC, then a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. From there I worked for two and a half years with the Los Angeles County Aviation Division. In March of 1987 I moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, and have been employed by the New Orleans Aviation Board, owner/operator of the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, since then. I'm the Construction Manager for the airport, managing various con...Expand for more
struction projects from both our capital improvements program, and our Hurricane Katrina repair program. My wife Krista and I have been married since 1994, and we have two daughters (ages 10 and 8, fifth and third grades). We live in Kenner, which is a western suburb of New Orleans. We were fortunate in that our house did not flood during Katrina, though we did replace the roof. (the picture above was taken at the Beaumont/Port Arthur, TX airport, where a number of us had gone to help the airport begin its recovery from Hurricane Ike)
