Kenji's Story
Thomas, Tommy, now Kenji Takeuchi: You can call me whatever, but just call me for dinner!:) My story is sort of like "Zelig" - been there, done that. After high school, went to UCLA, and met some life-long friends there. But the Vietnam War was on and couldn't decide what I wanted to be or do, so joined the Air Force. Four years later, I came back and graduated from UCLA with a BA in Sociology. Moved up north to Sunnyvale, CA. Worked at a pharmaceutical company in Palo Alto for a while. Then joined the Silicon Valley boom. Married Setsuko and moved back to Southern California. Started my own business in '84 as a Electronic Manufacturer's Representative. 25 years later, I am still working at it. Took up golf about 20 years ago and still love the game. Want to be like Tiger Woods. :)
Sets and I have been taking ballroom dancing for a couple of years now.
Only one daughter, Marisa Emi, who is attending Tsuru University in Japan on a Study Abroad Program. She will be a senior at UCSD when she returns this Fall.

e way of having fun and enjoying the game.
My older brother, Ben, is my hero. He's a very humble guy, loyal, and kind person. I love him to death.
Sets and I love to watch "Dancing with the Stars". I like watching golf tournaments, especially when Tiger is playing.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a den. My dream home would be along the coast.
Children: Do the very best for them while they are growing up. Teach them the Golden Rule. When they get to be a teenager, they're pretty much on their own.
My best friend would tell you I'm funny, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as hard to figure.
My oldest friend is Clark. He is like a brother to me. We lived in the same neighborhood and went to the same grade school. We got out of touch when I went into the Air Force and moved up north. We must have been a brothers in our past life. We always have a good time together.
My first job was at Van de Kamps restaurant in the Miracle Mile on Wilshire in LA, where I got paid $1.15/hour plus a meal to bus tables. What I remember most about it is that that is not what I want to do for a living, Ever!
