Thomas's Story
My life has been interesting and varied; it would best be described as well educated and well traveled with some excitement thrown in. I have a BS in finance, an MBA and two teaching credentials. I was in the US Navy and was an FAA certified air traffic controller at NAS Miramar. After military service, I finished my undergraduate and graduate degrees. As a financial analyst for two major corporations, I built profit plans and did strategic planning. I made enough money so that I could go into teaching which I really enjoyed and taught advanced placement computer science for college credit and other technolgy courses as a high school teacher for 24 years. vorced, I have traveled extensively domestically and to about 35 foreign countries. I have been above the Arctic circle and as far south as Antarctica. Lhasa Tibet is the highest city and Panama City on the Panama Canal is the lowest city visited. A wilderness safari to Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa is the wildest place I have been. I have a love of the outdoors and In my younger years I skied, backpacked, and even taught mountain climbing for the Sierra Club. I still river raft occasionally.
Yes, I have my domestic side --I am a modest collector of contemporary art. I have been remodeling my home and not traveling much in 2013, but I will be on the Amazon in December 2013 and Kiev Ukraine, Russia, and Finland in 2014. Anyone want to join me?
