College
Attended University of Maryland Far East division with emphasis on Asian Studies. Nihongo de shaberu desuka?
Workplace
After retiring from the military in August 1996, spent four months back in California, then in January 1997, moved to Hawaii for a year of vacation!!!!!!!! In 1998 moved to San Jose and began work with RFI Enterprises in the Access/Alarm industry. Moved to Hemet, California in 2000 ,and began working with fire alarm systems. 2003 moved to Atlanta Georgia working in th access/alarm/fire alarm/cctv systems and became a low voltage contractor.
Military
Joined the U.S Navy February 1976, stationed at Little Creek, VA. after boot camp. Made three Meditereanean cruises 1977, 1978, and 1979. Transferred to NAS Memphis for Aviation Electronics training 1980. 1982 transferred to the west coast to VF-24 Fighting Renegades stationed at NAS Miramar. eek 1982 with VF-24 onboard the USS Constellation (CV-64). Deployed to the Central America/Western Pacific with VF-24 on board the USS Ranger(CV-61)1983-84. Deployed onboard the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63) for precruise workups with VF-24, 1985. Transferred to NAS Lemoore 1985-1988. Transfrerred to NAS Whidbey Island for
ALQ-99 training for the EA-6B Prowler. Upon completion, transferred to VAQ-136 Gauntlets, 1989-1993, forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan onboard the USS Midway (CV-41). Made several short cruises to Australia, Philippines, Hong Kong,Singapore, Thailand, Kenya, and South Korea. Deployed to the Persian Gulf 1991 in support of Desert Shield/Desert Storm. 1993 transferred to NAF Atsugi, Ayase, Japan. Retired August 1996.
Awarded the Navy Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation w/bronze star, Navy Battle 'E', Navy Good Conduct Medal w/3 Bronze Stars, SouthWest Asia Campaign Medal w/3 Bronze stars, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Navy Overseas Ribbon w/2 Bronze stars, Sea Service Ribbon w/Silver Star and 1 bronze star.
