Life I would have graduated with the Class of 1970 if my parents hadn't decided to move to Los Angeles in 1967 my 9th grade year. I lived on Cuba Hill Rd for essentially my whole life up to that point and I have such wonderful memories of growing up on the Island that I just had to put my name on the list for John Glenn even though I never made it to graduation there. Many of my friends still live there and I miss you all if you even remember me... the shy one. I graduated from Chatsworth High in California. After graduation I attended Pierce college for 2 yrs and worked the second shift at the Van Nuys GM plant as a welder. I married in 1972 for 3 years and have a son (Tom) from that marriage and he is now 33. In 1974 GM laid off the entire second shift. When I attended an art class at Cal State Northridge, the instructor was a storyboard artist at Hanna-Barbera Studios and he liked my portfolio and suggested I apply at the studio and so within 1 month I started working at Hanna-Barbera as an assistant animator in the fall of 1978. Over the next 20 years I worked as an animator and a director at many of the animation studios in the LA area.
