~Aloha from Maui~ in 1967, spring; i was Surfing, had a 1949 Chevy Woody, parked in the back row, along with Rick Petersons' 1947 Mercury Woody, and several other Surfers in the Class!.. We'd usually, re-arrange out classes, or just CUT, and go surfing,.. driving down Brookhurst St or Beach Blvd.! I got 'suspended' for refusing to "Cut my HAIR", .. influenced by the Beatles!.. spent 3-weeks at Continuation school, then got a 'Letter of Recommendation' for the new Cypress J.C.!! I attended night-classes, while my Senior 1967 Class was still laboring thru Savanna.!! Unfortunately; my College-Exemption, had not come thru.. my Draft-Notice was in the mailbox.! i told my Mother: "leave it there!", and i went down to the local Recruitor for the USMC.!! .. as i understand: 30-40% of our Grad-Class67 ended up getting drafted.!! ?? RVSP with any "Veteran INformation", Please?? Dec.1968, flew to QuangTri, RVN, with the VMO-6 Huey/OV-10 Squadron! ('hightest-decorated-squadron'), .. KheSan & TET offensive.!.. 1971, early discharge for College in the BAY-Area.!! 8-years of College, 3- "AA"-Degrees, changing my Major,each time.!! Then, worked for IBM/TAB:.. divorced twice: but, still 'friends'!.. in 1978, immigrating to Australia with a Teachers-degree: but: stopped in the Islands, for a 'last' visit-surf-session! in March, never left Maui.!! I was a Chef, Postal-Driver, and, Retired in 2001, .. Now, i've taken up the old Hobby; of SlotCar-Racing, (from back in the '60s), but now, they use Digital-Systems!! .. i still Longboard-Surf.!! .. i' coached/sponsored Melissa, who won the State, Nationals, World Championships in 1987~~ (yeh, i have to give her the major-CREDIT, for inspiring me!) 2002: i became what we call: "a Low-Income-Millionaire".!! .. i.e. i've already made the first 50%, and if i live another 10-years, i'll have the rest of the 50%/~~ LOL.!! i spent the Summer/2015; house-sitting for 2-BeachHouses & 3-Cats.!! it was a Blast.!I still have 'Long-Hair" and Grey-beard.!! LOL... The 'Celebrity contacts: are enourmous! both Artists & Musicians; i.e. George Harrison, borrowed my 12-string Guitar and tape-recorder, when he first came to Maui..
