Life
5/30/05...Well first off, it should be obvious that I don't have any regrets leaving Illinois. The Northern California area offers more mountains, trees, rivers, and wildlife than I could of ever dreams for; not to mention simple down to earth people. After a 19 yr. marriage, Diane and i divorced in 1999, but not after having two wonderful beautiful daughters whos ages are now 21 & 18. The oldest one "KARI" was just recently promoted to manager position at Victorias Secret here in Redding. She is also continuing her education at Shasta College. The youngest daughter "JOLENE" is still searching for her path in life. Both daughters are out of the nest and on their own. My son "MIKE" (the oldest) still lives in Joliet where he works as a jouneyman electrician. He has been out to N. California many times and has even stayed and worked under me for up to a year back in "98". We have a very close relationship to this day. I am very proud of them all. I currently hold a company position with Cal-Electro ...Expand for more
Inc. (on the web also) as field supervision and management. Our mainstream is high voltage work, substations, power plants and FAA lighting for federal and state government contracts. Although our work is usually based here in California, I have been as far as Kansas and Maui. I presently live about 10 miles north of Redding in a one horse unincorporated town called Mt. Gate. It proudly features a beer and wine bar, a volunteer fire dept. and two small stores (population around 1,000 people). My back yard borders the Shasta National Forest and occasionally I am visited by bear, deer, mountain lion and coyotes. My dog Freebee (lab, shepard and border collie mix) usually does a pretty good job of keeping critters away, she haaaates coyotes. She is now 9 1/2 yrs old and still going strong. Well, i guess that about rapes it up in a nut shell... If any of you get a notion to be out this way, dont hesitate to give me a call....always a warm meal and soft bed for friends! HAPPY TRAILS TO ALL OF YOU!....TOM SEBALJ
