Thomas's Story
Life
Kids are all grown; Nicole, Justin, and Sarah. Nikki spent a tour in the Army (Hooah), and we have two Grandsons; Haden and Tucker, from Justin. We have a Granddaughter as well, Holliston, from Nicole and Rocky. What a cutie! Sarah is single and lives in the country, near Rocky and Nicole. Cindy (Smith) and I are celebrating our 45th anniversary in November (2021). Her folks have passed, as my Mother (a decade ago). My Parents had passed as well, MISS THEM a lot! Cindy is still a hottie! Me? Well, I need to go on a diet...I guess. I can still see my shoes though...that's important?!?!? We're living in Missouri (pronounced "misery"). Nice area, reasonable climate (except this year). Cindy and I live near Kansas City, and Justin (Corissa, Haden and Tucker) are also still in town. Sarah, and Nicole, (Rocky and Holliston) live outside of Mora, Missouri. We finally retired. I retired after fulfilling a detail assignment as a GS-14 for the US Forest Service.
Friends and family are my most cherished blessings, and each are important. To all, I am so very thankful to have so many fond memories., some pretty old :( .
Take care, all.

Workplace
Retired Air Force (E-7 MSgt) and went to work DOD civil service (GS-11) at Whiteman AFB, MO; until November 2008, retired from the US Forest Service (GS-13) in 2018.
Military
21 Years in the US Air Force (retired senior NCO). Started (in 1976) as a GP mechanic in the Air National Guard, cross-trained into narrow-band radio systems in the regular service (1977), and finished my tours working in information technology (1980s/90s in automation and computing, networks, global communications). Europe is nice, didn't get to go to the Pacific region though. Worked with some incredibly dedicate people. Witnessed Missouri's missile dismantling under the START treaty in 1992, and the CJCS escort of a Russian General's visit blow-up a missile silo. What a weird feeling that was...
Before arriving here in Missouri, the family and I were in Athens, Greece. What a place, huh? Incredibly loving people and a beautiful place to live! Wow! We made some wonderful friends there. I was lucky to visit Turkey, Spain, Italy, England, Crete, and Cyprus while stationed in Greece.
Retirement brings a lot of boredom if one has no hobbies. We hoper to go on a vacation to San Antonio (the riverwalk) for our anniversary.
