Steve's Story
Upon graduating from EHS in 1979, toured and recorded with The Jetz, made up of fellow EHS alumni and bandmates, Kurt Stake, Glenn Donnelly, Gary Sparks and Shawn Layden. Released two records, Boys of Belfast (1981) and Point of View (1983), performed with bands including The Bangles, Plimsouls, Untouchables at nightclubs like Cuckoos Nest/The Concert Factory, Golden Bear, Roxy, Wolf & Rissmiller's Country Club and in Honololu, Hawaii. Got airplay on KROQ and other local radio stations. Attended OCC and CSUF, graduating in 1983 and started my "second" careed in the Advertising industry at Doyle Dane Benrbach, where I worked on marketing movies for Universal Pictures. Then I moved to Lorimar Home Video as a Marketing Director, before I transitioned into media & publishing, working as an Ad Director for Playboy, Inc Magazine and then Publisher of The Industry Standard in 1998, when I relocated to Marin County, in the Bay area, where I live today with Andi our two kids, Rachel (18) and Mitch (14). We started our own company, Mediacentric, Inc. in 2002 and work with several media companies, selling and planning/buying advertising. In 2008, we got the band back together and The Jetz reunited, and we recently played with Missing Persons in OC, with other shows and new recordings planned for the future! Looking forward to catching up with my EHS Eagles Classmates at our 30 year reunion!
