Cancun, Disney,Dallas,New Orleans, Louisville,Kings Island,Disney again, Great Wolf Lodge, Carnival Cruise to Mexico (whoo hoo!)., and DISNEY, DISNEY,DISNEY- again!!!

sadly Gordo passed away but we have 2 new kittens named Kirby and Cheddar

2 boys and one girl

Dodge Ram , Chrysler town and country,and a '33 Jag. No more vehicles b/c they can not fit anymore in our driveway-lol.
I attended Salmen High school and then graduated and attended Northwestern State university in Natchitoches, LA where I had the time of my life. Met a lot of good people and had a lot of good times.
Right after moving from NSU to Monroe, I ended up in a severe car crash where I was told I should never survived ( car flipped 3 times on the highway and split completely in 1/2), I ended up meeting my husband right after being discharged who was going into the hospital with a heart attack. Strange, but true. 3 months later we married, got pregnant with our first child 6 months later and then moved to Alaska for 3 years where I had my second son. It's been a whirlwind couple of years in South Dakota, Texas,Indiana, but now being able to settle back down in Texas AGAIN, I am trying to get back into contact with old friends and seeing how everyone has been doing the past couple years.

We are now stationed in Houston which none of us likes and happy to be informed we will only be here for 2 years and then be transferred somewhere else. Hopefully before my husband retires we will be in Biloxi-my ideal place to live. My life right now is all about my kids whom I love dearly. I am the typical "soccer mom"- 2 boys in soccer and baseball, a daughter who loves pageants and wants to play t-ball and all 3 love to swim-so we are always doing something at all times.
We do normal family stuff like going to the zoo, parks, the aquarium, listen to the kids' music like Hannah Montannah and Naked Brothers Band and don't watch too much regular tv- usually watching cartoons and Nick lucky if I get some time to actually watch the news at night-LOL!
My main vice right now is getting used to all the BUGS back down south! I hate them! I got to a point I was ready to go back to Alaska to get away from the nasty critters here- but don't think I would do that to my kids although my husband would jump at the chance. Sometimes when I see one of those nasty roaches I'm ready to pack my bags though!
So ready to get out of TEXAS! We were here only 3 months and my van was hit 3 times ( yes -twice at a RED light and once in a freakin' parking lot), our trailer stolen and then my husband ended up having another heart attack. Hopefully he has that under control now though. But not very happy with Texas at the moment.
We get back to Slidell now more than we did living everywhere else-but still a long drive with 3 very active kids who can't stand sitting still-so still a rare occurance for us. My parents still live in Slidell as well as my sister so those are the main reasons for the visit. Never see anyone when we get down there except maybe Suzi when we can coordinate a visit since ...Expand for more

I was waiting to see if Salmen was going to have a 15 year reunion but I am now guessing not since it's almost summer and I have not heard anything. Would have been fun- but guess a 20 year would be even better. We'll see whose had the Botox and facelifts by then-LOL!
Well- until the next time I decide to get on this thing and write some more-have fun reading this and if you get a chance shoot me an email-I don't check this email account often anymore- but every now and then I get around to it:)
And for those NSU buddies- would LOVE to hear from you guys! Drop me a line or two- love to see where everyone is and how many bundles of joy you have and if ya'll are where you'd thought you would be when we were MUCH younger!!!
OH- and yes- I finally let my hair get back to it's NATURAL COLOR_-and not by choice- these stubborn greys just don't seem to take color-lol! So now back to being a chocolate brown brunette with sprays of silver and red highlights- just lovely:)

end of summer/beginning of school update for 2008:
Well- we have ended OUR summer-lol. Starting to buy school supplies, getting my eldest ready for football (yes- he's already tackling- luckily the military has great insurance-lol) and Tori is finally starting her dance/tap/ballet program and tumbling.
This year she has one more pageant to compete at and then she has a full year in 2009 to reign and pass her crowns to the new girls.
As for my middle child- he told me he plans to take golf lessons- and yes- he's only 7. So we'll see if he keeps asking on that one in the spring. If so we might have a little Tiger Woods in the making-lol.
I'm still a stay at home mom for now, at least until my youngest gets into school full time and then I think I might just go back to college or get back into the workforce to keep my mind occupied.The kids actually seem to be liking it here and my husband seems to like his job so we may put in for an extension much to my dismay- but we'll see what the future may hold. Right now I forsee a wedding for my sister in the near future and hopefully a very large reception to go with it-ROADTRIP!-lol!

Update Spring 2010
Well- looks like we are here in Texas to stay. The area has been growing on us and just happy to be near family again.We bought a new house and have all 3 kiddos playing soccer now, along with our eldest playing the TUBA in the school band, our second child in gifted and talented classes for math and science and of course our little princess who still loves to compete in pageants but get tough on the soccer fields:)
We just got back from our 2nd honeymoon- we took a trip to Mexico on Carnival for 5 days and it was a lot of fun. Can't wait to do it again- but maybe next time bringing the kiddos along to have just as much fun too.
We have a trip in 2 weeks scheduled to go cave exploring-undecided on doing the full tourist tour or going the real explorer tour by lamplight-so we'll see on that one.
Next up in our forecast is buying into a land lease for the hubby to hunt and hopefully a trip in 2011 to Disney World again and maybe throwing in a couple days at Universal Studios:)
Right now though- I'm off to unpack more of our boxes to get settled in our new house!
