Life After graduation I went to Rio Hondo College and then on to California State University, Long Beach where I obtained a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1974. From there went into the U.S. Navy (very low draft number)via Officer Candidate School and spent three years on board the USS John S. McCain (DDG-36), a guided missle destroyer, as a division officer over two divisions in the Engineering Dept. Left the service as a Lieutenant, was single for awhile, got married in 1981 and was divorced 10 years later.
