Tim's Story
I am married to my beautiful wife Lena who I met out here in California. We have 4 great kids who keep us pretty busy these days. Happiness is hard to find and it feels so good to really know what being in love is.
I am an Union Electrician. I love what I do, I think it's the best job in the world. Hundreds of years of men working with electricity to make lives better and we have yet to truley scratch the surface of the capabilities of electricity.
Military
I joined the US Army in '95. I did boot camp ,16weeks, in Ft. Knox, KY. My military occupational skill was a Cavalry Scout (Reconnaissance Specialist). After basic training I was assigned to 1-10 Cav in Ft. Hood, Tx. seas in Germany. During my tour in Germany my unit was deployed to Kosovo for 7 months. There, my unit was responsible for patroling the boarder between Kosovo and Serbia. Seems they didn't like each other too much. While depolyed I was able to take some R&R in Bolgaria for 4 days. Was ok where we went but nothing to write home to Mom about. After our tour of duty had ended was fortunate enough to send 2 weeks in Spain, soaking up the sun and drinks. Ahhhh, well worth it. Was Honorably discharged from service in June of 2001.
I would do it all over again in a second.
In high school I had a good group of friends that I hung out with. But nothing will ever come close to the bonds that are made among fighting men. I knew at anytime I could open my door and find any of 70 other guys to hang out with.
