Tim's Story

Life After High School I continued to work on cars for eighteen years. I was forced to retire from Auto Painting on 9/15/98 because of a back surgery. In 1989 I also started Bible College while working and received my diploma in Theology in 1993. In 1993 I passed my oral board and received my Ministerial License to become an Ordained Minister through the Evangelical Church Alliance. I did volunteer work in the church for nine years up until 1998. After retiring from Auto Painting in 1998 I then joined the staff of New Hope Christian Fellowship in Vacaville to become a full time Youth Pastor. In January of 2003 resigned my possition at the church when my ex-wife left the kids and I after fouteen years of marriage. After taking some time off to heal, I have recently stepped back into Ministry. Currently I am the President & CEO of "Solano Christian Singles." In addition, I have started a Singles Ministry at a wonderful church here in Vacaville called The Fathers House. We meet on Monday nights at the church from 7:00-8:30 and run a roster of about 90...Expand for more
people as of 3/21/05 with new people showing up every week. UPDATE AS OF 8/14/08 Ok almost three and a half years later alot has changed! I am no longer involved with ministry at the church. Yes I still go! The reason I gave up ministry? "Ya it was a woman." I got engaged to an old friend from Vaca High. Ree and I were together for two years. Things just did not work out for us. PS. I still think the world of her, she is a wonder person and a great mom! As of today I am single, semi retired and enjoying my new toys ( Boat / RV). Lastly I am going back to college on 8/20/08. I still can't stay in one place to long. I am always on the go enjoying each day God gave me as if was my last. I wish you all well. Tim Landis PSS. Old news, yet it still holds true today. So those wondering if I am still singing in the band, sorry I had to give something up and the band took up three nights a week. I do miss it everytime I see my friends and their bands, however we all have had to make those hard choices. Well bless you all, this update is done. Tim
