Tim's Story
Life
I retired as Technology Coordinator for the Rockford School District in June 2010, but returned to work as the Metric Manager (different retirement system). I now am in charge of coordinating state and local testing.
Kathleen (Boylan 1976) and I have been married 29 years now. She is working for the district as a manager in Improvement and Innovation department. She is involved with SES tutoring and Summer School.
Our Rockford home sold. We are living in an apartment off Easton Pkwy. No grass to mow and now snow to shovel. We still plan to move completely to Tomahawk, WI where we have had a cabin since before we were married. We also built another home on some acreage that we own located about a mile from the cabin. oth the lakefront cabin and the new home. It may seem ridiculous to have two homes within a mile of each other...but you haven't been on a Wisconsin lake when THOSE Illinois people come up for the weekend.
I can't imagine a more relaxing retirement than hunting, fishing, scuba diving, skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, and reading in front of a fireplace in Wisconsin.
Katelyn (28) is is teaching 1st grade in Clarksville, TN and was married in October 2012..
Ellie (25) graduated from UW Stout with a major in Apparel Design and is working for ShopHQ in Minneapolis as a Technical Designer
Sam and Maggie (both 24) are at ISU and NIU, respectively. Sam will be getting his Masters this spring. Maggie graduated in January 2013 and works as a nurse in KS.
