Tim's Story

June 1969 - Graduated - Surprised the S*** out of Mr. Heine.
June 1969 - Like some kind of idiot, I enlisted in the United States Naval Reserve. The uniform was cool and I could buy beer even though I was only 17. I guess they figured any a** h*** stupid enough to enlist in the United States Naval Reserve was probably not the brightest button on the dress blues and would probably get himself killed in Viet Nam anyway, so might as well let him kill himself here if he wants to.

n idiot. That was the first of MANY choices I've made that have required serious life changes and endless hours of "counseling" (at least I'm not in therapy - I'll be heading to therapy when I realize "counseling" isn't worth a crap.)
Now I am a teacher trying to teach geeky kids like me not to make the kind of mistakes I made.
I teach Physics at a very advanced Technical High School in Fort Lauderdale.
I always was always just a little off.... I was geeky before geeky was cool.
In between then and now - - - Got a weekend? I've got beer (or a lovely Chardonnay) and a tent (Oh, and summers off...).
