Making Fresh Tomato Soup on a rainy day in the Santa Ynez Valley. Simple pleasures.
Spicy Mexican hot chocolate cookies with sea salt. A truly adult cookie. Got Milk?
Look what Santa brought the cook.
Getting ready to dry age this Waygu Beef Tritip. Making something good even better.
Visited Iron Chef Cat Cory's new restaurant in Santa Barbara. It was the best burger I've ever had. (Mesa burger. com). This is a great example of a well planned new restaurant. If your in St you have to try it.

Finally had to buy more kitchen twine,I should be 90 by the time I use this up
Here is a great hack from chef Jacques Pepin. Cook your corned beef sous-vide style in it's packaging bag. It really drives the seasoning home.
Allot of what I know about cooking l have learned from Jacques's books over the years. I had the pleasure of working with him at the Jordano's cooking school in Santa Barbara several years ago when we were both much younger
