Workplace
I got into public accounting while at Rollins College, but then moved to the consulting division of what is now Pricewaterhouse Coopers. From...Expand for more
there, I got involved with information system design and then implementation of financial software packages. After implementing a number of systems for Sun Banks, I joined one of the software vendors.
This led to world-wide travel presenting software packages to governments and educational institutions. After a few years, I moved on to become Partner-in-Charge of Propietary Software for Ernst & Whinney.
But, Cleveland's gloomy winters and my family's love of skiing and Colorado drove us to the Denver area. For 18 years, I alternately worked for software companies or as an independent consultant on software marketing and implementation.
Finally, after several high-profile and highly paid consulting engagements, I was able to retire in October, 2003 and get off the road. We now ski from our townhouse in the Rockies in winter and relax on our deck in a Denver suburb in summer.
