Tim's Story

Life Well I quit school my last year and joined the Air Force, got out in 1995 in Alaska and joined the Alaska Army National Guard. I went to the University of Alaska, Anchorage for my BS in science and technology, I spent a year in college in Ireland at the University of Limerick. I was working for many different airlines as a mechanic, I worked for a defense contractor in Utah rebuilding military aircraft parts. I am now working for the army as a cillivian aircraft mechanic. I am currently working on getting my comercial pilots liscense, I have my own airplane and spend lots of my spare time flying around the country. I have not been married and dont have any children as of yet, I have a live in girlfriend, and we have granbaby so that is kewl. Maybe someday we might get married...maybe. Looking to the future, I am hoping to get a nice FAA job in some remote location in Montana or something. 2/4/2016 Well that was an old update from like 15 years ago. I have been busy with school, I finished my Masters in April of 2012, started Doctorate in July of that year. HA, me a Doctor! what irony, poor white trash with an education. I have been working to get it finished, it was supposed to be a 3 year long program, I should finish in 4. I just need to hunker down and write my dissertation. Then it will be party time and celebrate. I have had a few life changing events, I got married for the first time 3 years ago, it started out fun but sometimes things change. I am not totally unhappy but there were some substance issues (not on my part) that caused some life related stress but overall I am fairly healthy. I did happen to lose 75 pounds last year and...Expand for more
am now down to what I was when I got out of the Army. Most people find it hard to believe that I was in both the Air Force for 5 years and the Army for 8 and I liked the Army better. I only wished I would have stuck it out long enough to get my retirement. If I would have, I would be retired by now. Currently I am working at a factory fixing machines as an equipment specialist for the largest exporter in the United States, This job has had me all over the western U.S. from places like Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Alaska. Well life is not too bad, but I always seem to have a project my high school training has done me well, I am so glad that there was such a good vocational program at Tomahawk High School. Even what seemed like trivial things like taking basic foods and sewing have helped me become a more productive person. I found it funny that no one contacted me about a 20 year reunion, I wonder if there will a 30? I would like to see the successes that my classmates have been able to accomplish. While we all are not as successful as we hoped, maybe some of us were able to break away from the limited culture and grow up to be productive in society. I am hoping the next few years I will get my chance to really prove that I can be someone depended upon and maybe help the younger generations grow and develop into future leaders. I am hoping to retire back in Tomahawk on the homestead or at my grandmothers cabin, I just need to get prepared for the changes in lifestyle. There is so much to do there that I hope I live long enough to return and enjoy it....winter and all. Tim if someone wants to look me up, try me in linkd n or at #otmail....astjp2
