Lisa's Story
Life
My husband, Tim, and I plan on celebrating our 20 years together by returning to Maui in the fall of '06. We met on Halloween night in 1986 and have been together ever since. He works too hard but he's a phenomenal husband, father, and partner. I'm lucky to have stumbled across him in my Scarlett O'Hara dress.
Our oldest daughter is a freshman in high school now. That makes me officially old. My youngest daughter is starting junior high this year. I hope they both make great friends that they can re-connect with at their class reunions.
Tim is a junior partner at a local stock brokerage firm. Managing money has been his passion since he got his first paycheck delivering papers in 3rd grade. I've worked at P&G (part-time) for over 5 years after taking 7 years off to raise the kids. P&G is a great company to work for and I'm very lucky that they offer me the flexibility to balance my work and my home life.
I enjoy tennis, boating, reading, writing and traveling. Tim enjoys the painful sports, like running and l...Expand for more
ifting. He's recently taken up tennis and we're attempting not to humiliate ourselves playing mixed doubles at the local club. We live in West Chester.
School
Graduated in 1984. Earned a B.A. in Political Science in 1988. Briefly attended law school but dropped out to have a family.
College
Earned a b.a. in Political Science (with a minor in Euchre) from Univ. of Cincinnati in June 1984.
My fondest memories of my years at U.C. were the Great Cicada Invasion, spring breaks with Christy and Alfonso (and his personal stash of Spam, the canned ham), lounging around watching the Bengals on Sunday afternoons with Mike, and throwing darts/playing Euchre on the weekends.
Aside from getting my 4-year degree in 4 years, I also met my future husband. Those 5am trips to the airport were not fun but so worth it.
Workplace
Have worked part-time at P&G since 2000. The view from the cubicle isn't very exciting but have made a lot of wonderful friends. I'm resisting turning into a Proctoid, but not sure how successful I am.
