Life
This info is up to date as of April, 2001:
After graduation, I spent a few years learning lots but earning little. I went to Notre Dame for two years, then dropped out for awhile. Back to school at Univ. St. Thomas in Houston 1973-78 for a BM in Music, then Dominican College in San Rafael, CA for a Master's in same (composition and classical guitar). Then in 1981 I went back to Houston and taught at the Performing Arts High School (HSPVA) until 1985. At HSPVA I met my wife Donna, who taught in the dance department. We moved to Austin in 1985 so I could get even more education (PhD in Musicology), which I'm putting to great use as a computer sy...Expand for more
stems analyst at UT Austin. I am also Music Director at Hyde Park United Methodist Church in Austin.
I live with my wife of 19 years in Buda, with my son Conor (17) and daughter Erin (15). Conor will be at UT in the Fall of 2001 studying Architecture and Plan II. He's a National Merit Scholar (doesn't know how little his Dad studied in high school). He's also a dynamite jazz trumpet player and was in the State Band his senior year in high school. Erin, like her mom, is a dancer in her soul, and, I think, the nicest person I've ever known.
