Some of you may remember I came to Richland for my senior year as a transplanted Los Angeles area surfer boy. I was feeling like a fish out of water literally, but found the river/water skiing, and dirt bike riding all over West Richland, and doing the hunting/fishing thing. I left Richland after graduation and returned to SoCal for school. I made it through almost 3 years of college and got my draft notice. (It took me another 14 years to finish!). Went into the Navy instead of allowing Uncle Sam to make my life choices, and spent the next 21 years having fun and doing interesting things in interesting places - three tours with Marines and finished the last half of my career with the Navy surface forces. I was an Independent Duty Hospital Corpsman. I finally settled in San Diego in 1988 and retired from the Navy ...Expand for more
