Life
e-mail bightim at cox -dot-net Tim Harrington enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on August 1984 upon Graduation from St. Paul Johnson High School, St. Paul Minnesota, in August 1984, he reported to Company A, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, CA.
1985 he graduated Infantry Training School and was assigned to 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion. There he attended a variety of schools to include: Basic Airborne School, Water Safety Survival Instructor School, Amphibious Reconnaissance School, Army Pathfinder Course, Navy Dive School and Army Ranger School. During his tenure he served as a recon scout, was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Corporal, and was assigned as a Recon team leader.
1989, he received orders to serve with the Marines of 1st Force Reconnaissance Company.
1992, he received orders to serve with 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion as a Recon Team Leader.

rogram. While in Coronado he attended various instructor courses and Military Freefall School.
1998 reported to MCRD San Diego and served as a Drill Instructor for India Company, 3rd Recruit Training Bn. During his tour at MCRD San Diego he trained 5 cycles of recruits, served as a Senior Drill Instructor.
1999, transferred to the recruit depot swim tank to serve as the Chief Combat Water Survival Instructor, and SNCOIC of the Combat Water Survival Training program
2001, reported to 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion in Okinawa Japan to serve as Company ÂAÂ operations chief.
2002, transferred to 1st Reconnaissance Battalion where he served as a Recon Platoon Sergeant.
2003, changed billet to become the 1st Reconnaissance BattalionÂs Cadre Chief.
2004, honorably retired.
Tim HarringtonÂs personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two Gold Stars and a Combat ÂVÂ, and a Combat Action Ribbon with one Gold Star. A Navy Commendation Medal. He is married to the former Palin Petrossian from Lafayette, California. They reside in San Clemente California with their son Liam.
