Timothy's Story
Life
After grade school full of juvinal mischief and fun ... my family moved to Westfield, NJ. I was a quiet misfit who lived on the fringes with few friends and no click that I associated with often. I was tall and uncoordinated no sports. I was not hip, slick or cool ... not a hood or a hipster. I was not into books and studing, not a college prep person.
I spent high school summers in Montana working on my Uncle Dan's wheat farm.
I went to Vermont Technical college and graduated as an Aggie in the class of '72. That education was practical and useful. I was a dairy farmer for
five years. Had a wife and two daughter. Leased a 100 acre 40 ...Expand for more
cow dairy farm for two years and moved to a working farm manager job in Pa.
The crops were in the field and living was hard ... the beginings of a country song (lament). I got divorced. Finished being an addict by the time I was 27. I was an addict from the age of 17 until I was 27.
AA found me and I found NA a 12 step fellowship that gave me a chance to live.
Went to a community college. Years later went to Slippery Rock University, droped out, got married had a wife and 3 step sons, got divorced and got married a few years later. I am still married and have two step daughters.
