Timothy's Story
Life
In 1964 I married the lovely and still beautiful Carol Newman, Lee High Class of '63, went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1967, joined the Hartford Insurance Group after graduation, moved to Los Angeles in 1968 and have lived in SoCal ever since. Carol and I are still happily married after all these years and are blessed with a great son and daughter and three wonderful grandsons, all who live near us.
In 2001 I retired as a senior vice president with Marsh, the world's largest insurance broker, we bought a great big motorhome, and began an absolutely incredible two year adventure touring the USA and Canada. Then in early 2003 we returned to SoCal, bou...Expand for more
ght a townhome in Irvine and I returned to the insurance industry as an independent agent while Carol resumed activities with her church and helping raise three rambunctious grandkids.
Our hobbies include a passion for collecting Civil War artifacts and French antiques, tinkering with a pale yellow 1960 Triumph TR3A, motorhoming, and hollering at our recalcitrant English Springer Spaniel "Bentley."
Overall, life has been very good to us, we're both healthy and really enjoying family and friends at this point in our lives. We're hoping to hear from more of our old Lee High friends and planning to make Lee's 45th reunion in November this year. Wishing you all well, Tim & Carol Newman Matthews.
