Timothy's Story

Life I married my high school sweetheart, in 81, Unbelievable! I had four fingers cut off while working in an industrial accident in 83, amazingly, they were able to put them back on, my hand Doc was the best. A couple months later, My first son was born in November, he graduated from UIC, he has joined the working class, he went on to obtain his Masters Degree. He is married to a great girl and they are expecting a baby in April, 2011. I bought my first house in 84, right down the street from Reavis High. My second son was born in 86, he attended a Community College in Will County, and is now shoulder to shoulder with the working class. He is attending Northwestern University. I was divorced in 95, after 14 years of marriage. I moved to Wisconsin and re-married in 96, and am very happy. Both of my sons have grown up to be great guys, with only an occasional traffic stop. I have been with the Cook County Sheriff's Department since 93, I'm a Detective working out of Cook County Sheriff's Police Headquarters in Maywood, and a substation - North Investigations in Skokie. I am also, one of two Forensic composite sketch artists for my Department. I miss the lazy hazy days of my High school years, things were so simple and easy, with little or no responsibilities. One of life's many questions: Does the work horse know he is the work horse, or is he like me... greatful to have a job, and I'm very happy t...Expand for more
o be where I'm at in life. My Mom is still in the our old house in Burbank. She works with shut ins, providing companionship, picking up groceries, taking them to church. She enjoys what she does. My mom is a real trooper. I lost my Dad in 2007 and my Oldest Brother; Pat in 2008. It's been hard not being able to call my dad and talk to him about Police work, or Politics, or just to have a conversation with the man I loved, honored and admired as a great man, loving Husband to my Mom, and wonderful father to my brohers and me, and a true spoiler of his grand children. I miss the opportunity to share my off duty motorcycle adventures with fellow motorcycle enthusiast and brother, Pat, I wish he was still around to teach me how to be a great tricked out airbrush painter as he was. I would have liked to have shared my vision of my future bike and Street Rod build. My current task is to get my brother Bob off the job site and into the saddle, get him ridin his 67 Electra glide again. All Work and no play makes one look back at his life and say I wish I spent more time enjoying the fruits of my labor. Nothing better than saddle time on the open road. My Oldest son; Dan is starting a family, I'm really excited for him and his bride, Amanda. My youngest son is working and going to college, I really proud him. It's hard work but he is keeping his nose to the grindstone. I have been blessed with two Great sons.
