Chris's Story
1988 - Went to Basic Training at Ft. Jackson(Bravo 3/28...Wolfpack) and did my 1st AIT there (71L).
1990 - Back at Ft. Jackson for my 2nd AIT (76Y...Class 001).
1995 - Moved to Columbus, Ga to get married. Thank God THAT didn't happen!
1996 - Had my beautiful son, Mikey.
1997 - Met my husband, who is from San Diego.
1998 - Had my gorgeous daughter, CJ.
1999 - Tim got out of the Army, and we came home.
2000 - He got back in and we went to Fort Carson, Colorado.
2001 - He went to Kuwait for his unit's rotation there, and ended up being involoved in Operation Enduring Freedom.
2002-2003 - Did his tour in Korea
2003 - Tim went to Iraq.
2004 - Left Co for Ft. Stupid (Stewart), Ga.
2005 - He went to Iraq again.
2006 - He reenlisted, and we PCS'd to Ft. Bliss, Tx. Where we will be for the next 3 - 5 years. (sounds like a prison sentence. LOL)
2010 - He retired from the Army and went overseas as a Civilian Contractor.
late 2011 - Bought a house and moved back to SoCal (Menifee).
2012 - Getting unpacked, kids settled, process started to go back to school for RN.
2013 to 2015 - Juggling my school schedule, my son's ROTC functions and my daughter's ver...Expand for more
y active FFA life. My son graduating HS (2014).
2016 to 2017 - My son enlisted in the Army and left for Basic, The not-yet-ex lost our house, wrecked numerous vehicles, chose drugs over the family, my daughter and I were homeless, staying here and there. But, I graduated with my A.S., my daughter graduated HS, my son graduated Basic at Ft. Benning and went to Ft Sam and Ft. Campbell for AIT. Nursing school had to take a back burner. And I filed for divorce May 2016.
2018 - We have a place now with the help of a Vets program. They paid for my course and I'm now a licensed Phlebotomist. My son is stationed in Italy until June 2019. I'm saving up so I can go visit him. We're taking it one day at a time. Divorce final Sept 2018, after fighting him for it for 2.5 years.
2020 - Pandemic hit, lost my job as a Mobile Phleb. Left Cali, moved to Al.
2021 - Pay and job market sucks in Ga. Moved back to my birthplace in Ohio. Staying with my mom. Had a temp job lined up in Ohio before I even left Al Got Covid and work ended my contract. Got a travel job in Southern Ohio.
2022 - Travel job contract ended and got a job at one of the top Hospitals in Cleveland.
